Maybe it won’t work out. But maybe seeing if it does will be the best adventure ever.

you can’t change people, they can’t change themselves

I think it’s brave to try to be happy.

I nearly broke down and cried

Underrated song, I think. Isolated vocals FTW, by the way… https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lWbPkQFTaqg

From Doug Sulpy’s book on the Let It Be sessions:

The dialogue begins with Paul working out the lyrics for Two of Us. John jokes that the lyrics refer to drag queens and Paul kiddingly responds that perhaps Paul & Paula (an American male/female singing duo) should perform the song instead of The Beatles. Then John and Paul each take a moment to kid each other with effeminate affectations. John fools around a bit with the lyrics and Paul mentions the connected themes of Get Back, Two of Us, Don’t Let Me Down, and Oh Darling. John agrees and jokes that he and Paul need to be lovers for Oh Darling. Paul says he was planning on wearing a skirt on the show anyway.

Please don’t expect me to always be good and kind and loving. There are times when I will be cold and thoughtless and hard to understand.
